Ruby is the birthstone for July
Rubies are given in celebration of both your 15th and 40th Wedding Anniversary
Ruby is one of the world's most precious gemstones and is known as both The Queen of stones and The stone of Kings.
For centuries, the ruby has represented nobility and passion. When worn, rubies are said to heighten all powerful emotions. This fiery precious stone is also known as the stone of courage and is said to ward off misfortune.
Ruby is said to restore vital life forces and increase energy. It is ideal for encouraging its wearer to live life to its fullest and embrace the joys of life. They also help to bring down the walls we build around us to keep others out. This vibrant gemstone allows the fire of passion and love to advance - making rubies an excellent Valentine's Day gift or a token of your love all year round.
Opal is the birthstone of October
Opal is given in celebration of your 13th Wedding Anniversary
This stunning semi-precious gemstone will flash its brilliance even in the slightest of movement to ensure everyone around it can appreciate its striking beauty. Opals may exibit 'play of colour' which occurs when light enters an opal, interacts with the internal structure and leaves the opal in a flash of spectural colours - it is rather impressive.
The Opal is said to represent innocence and purity as well as connote to happiness, loyalty and confidence. Along with this, this incredible stone is believed to encourage independence and stimulate originality and creativity, making this a stone with an abundance of functions.
